Grantee Spotlight

Every year, we produce a video highlighting impactful programs that are supported by Co-operators Community Funds. Our most recent video features Stella’s Place Assessment and Treatment Centre. Based in Toronto, Stella’s Place offers free, comprehensive, integrated mental health services for young adults, aged 16-29. Their unique support model places an emphasis on peer co-design paired with evidence- informed best practices. Stella’s Place equips program participants with skills and training that help prepare them to work in the peer support field, rejoin the workforce and continue their journey of recovery.

Indigenous Youth Employability Initiative

Through this initiative, we will improve Indigenous youth employability and representation in the workforce and enhance their competitiveness in the labour market.

“Youth need to see themselves employed in the positions they may dream about. It is the employer’s obligation to make that vision more feasible.”

-Wacey Littlelight, The Howl Experience

Co-operators Community Funds Investment Portfolio

Over 60% of CCF’s investment portfolio assets are held in impact investments, transition investments, and smaller-scale community impact investments. We challenge the traditional view that investments are solely to make money. We advocate for the broader impact of a foundation’s investments, beyond just financial returns.

Accelerating habitat conservation

Carolinian Canada Coalition is a charity with a mission to collaborate for healthy ecosystems in one of the most diverse and fragile ecoregions in Canada, known as the Carolinian Zone. Through a unique financing tool called a Conservation Impact Bond (CIB), Carolinian Canada is stewarding climate-resilient landscapes and habitat preservation.
