What to expect with your home claim
Here’s how the process works for home claims:
Tell us what happened
Whether you’re starting a claim online or with one of our claims experts, we’re here to help. We’ll ask questions about your claim and help you start the claim process.
Get an estimate
Someone from our claims team or preferred network of vendors will take a look at your property to determine the value of the loss or damage, and get estimates for repairs, restorations or replacements.
Repairs and payment
We’ll settle the claim by paying any outstanding amounts, minus your deductible. We pay directly for repairs and other work, or offer a settlement depending on your policy.
When it comes to resolving claims, we’re committed to finding creative and sustainable solutions with eco-friendly practices and partnerships.
What you’ll need during a home claim
Depending on what happened, we may need different information from you during the claims process:
We’ll need to know about the damage done to your home and the circumstances that caused the damage.
We’ll need to know some details about items that were stolen or damaged, like value, age, and condition. We might also need any receipts or invoices for those items.
We'll ask if there’s a contractor you want to work with for repairs, or we can give you recommendations based on our preferred vendor network.
