Supporting communities amid rising needs
$1.72 million disbursed to charities and non-profits from Co-operators Community Funds (CCF).
Through the CCF, we support programming that helps to build job skills and enable under served youth and individuals with mental health challenges to progress along their path to employment.
Champions for Canadian co-operative society
$600,000 contributed to emerging co-operatives.
Through the Co-operative Development Program, we support initiatives that promote the growth of emerging and expanding co-operatives. In 2025, we provided funding to 52 co-operatives, including Ikajurtigiit Solidarity Coop.
Ikajurtigiit is a purpose-driven Inuit construction cooperative in Nunavik. The cooperative promotes the autonomy of Nunavimmiut by offering practical and culturally adapted on-site training jobs in construction, and meeting the infrastructure needs of communities. They dream of a Nunavik where infrastructures are designed, built and maintained by Inuit, for Inuit.

Addressing a growing gap in financial advice
We provided $150,000 in 2024 to fund 2025 research that outlines a roadmap for action by governments, financial services providers and community organizations to address the financial resilience challenges faced by low-income Canadians.
Research outcomes
In its report, Prosper Canada set out clear steps that governments, financial services and community organizations can take to ensure every Canadian can access the financial help they need.

Since 2015, we’ve partnered with the University of Waterloo through Partners for Action (P4A), an applied research initiative we co-founded with Farm Mutual Re, focused on preparing communities for climate-related hazards.
“Through our collaborative efforts, we’ve showcased the power of partnerships and demonstrated that applied research can drive equitable and actionable climate adaptation.”

Employee volunteering

48% of employees used a portion of their paid volunteer days.
36,477 total volunteer hours were tracked.
$1,746,233 was the total equivalent salary to support employee volunteering.
Advisors in our communities
Our Advisors work on the ground in over 350 communities across Canada. In addition to the products, services and advice they deliver for their clients, Advisors donate their time and financial resources to support their local communities. Through our Advisor Community Fund (ACF), our Advisors receive additional funding from Co-operators to amplify the impact of their local donations.
In 2025, with the support from the ACF, one of our Saskatoon-based Advisors, Declan O’Reilly of O’Reilly Insurance Ltd., supported the Ânskohk Indigenous Literature Festival, one of the only Indigenous literature festivals in Canada.
“Giving back is not optional; it is how we show our appreciation for the generous support our community has bestowed upon us.”
Declan O’Reilly, Co-operators Advisor O’Reilly Insurance Ltd., Saskatoon SK
