A one-stop-shop for all your insurance needs in Simcoe
Located near Lake Erie, at the junction of Highway 3 and Highway 24, Simcoe is the largest community of the Norfolk County in Southwestern Ontario. It was incorporated as a town in the late 19th century. However, in 2001, the town and all other municipalities within the Regional Municipality of Haldimand-Norfolk were dissolved and the region was divided into two single-tier municipalities. Simcoe now forms Ward 5 of Norfolk County.
Simcoe’s relative affordability and close proximity to urban markets make this town an attractive choice for people who prefer a small-town lifestyle with big-city amenities. If you have roots in Simcoe, get in touch with our capable Co-operators Financial Advisors here for a no-obligation home insurance, or even car insurance quote. They can also recommend the right mix of life insurance and investments to protect your family’s financial future in this town.
As someone who knows Simcoe well, you’d probably agree that the Norfolk County Memorial Tower, which commemorates the lives of Canadians who died for Canada in conflicts overseas, is one of this town’s focal points. It overlooks the scenic Wellington Park, a public greenspace that includes walking paths and a waterway system with a small lake close to the downtown core.
Simcoe’s Norfolk Arts Centre at Lynnwood National Historic Site is another notable attraction that houses a permanent collection of over 500 works of Canadian art. The Norfolk County Archives and Eva Brook Donly Museum, on the other hand, showcases pioneer, Victorian and early 20th-century relics from the surrounding area. The archives library contains local history records and an extensive collection of family history resources for Ontario and early America.
