Segregated funds can only be offered by insurance companies like Co-operators. Think of them as investment products with a safety net. Your money is invested across professionally managed investments while a portion of your principal is kept safe.

A portion of your principal contribution – your choice of 75% or 100% – is guaranteed at the investment’s maturity date or the date of your death, whichever comes first.*

Simple payouts

Like a life insurance policy, proceeds from your segregated funds are paid out directly to named beneficiaries, quickly and without hassle.

*Maturity and death benefit guarantees are not available upon surrender of the segregated fund policy and are proportionally reduced by any withdrawals from or investment transfer out of the segregated fund. Subject to any applicable death and maturity guarantee, any part of the premium or other amount that is allocated to a segregated fund is invested at the risk of the policyholder and may increase or decrease in value.

Segregated funds are like mutual funds in that they both deliver growth potential. But there are some important differences.
