Members of the media are invited to attend the Community Meeting of the Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba (IRCOM), where a representative of The Co-operators will present IRCOM with a cheque for $40,000. The funding will support IRCOM's work to help Syrian refugees gain needed employability skills and get their first exposure to the Canadian workplace.

The grant is being provided through a special one-time program created through The Co-operators Foundation's Community Economic Development Fund to support organizations' initiatives aimed at preparing refugees for employability in Canada.
