Phil Ryan

Phil began answering the Co-operators phone at age nine (1980). His father, Marc, was a local Co-operators agent in Embrun, ON, serving clients with their insurance needs from his home office. It was fun and gave Phil an early introduction to talking and interacting with clients, taking payments, and transferring messages. All without computers and the Internet!
After a student exchange program in Bangkok, Thailand, Phil completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Ottawa. Economics and the financial markets (fixed income and stock markets) were his favourite topics.
In spring 1994, he joined Co-operators. Then, one of his new clients had an automobile accident. He was a high school friend and was quite impressed by the claims service. Phil felt rewarded and understood that he had made a difference by advising his client to purchase the right coverage. It was an eye opener that made Phil realize the importance of the role of an insurance advisor in our society. At that point, he put aside other avenues (bank manager, stockbroker and construction), started selling insurance and decided to pursue his career with Co-operators.
Today, the same passion animates him. With over 2,000 clients, the team works hard to provide personalized service and help each client choose the right products for their insurance and financial needs.
Phil is surrounded by a team that stays true to their mission to provide financial security for Canadians and their communities. He spends most of his time helping clients make financial plans so they can reach their goals, such as retiring comfortably. He also enjoys helping clients maximize their standard of living with proactive financial and estate planning.
Phil loves spending time with his two teenagers, as well as playing hockey, cross-country biking and wake-surfing at the cottage.
He currently serves on the board of directors of the Unique FM radio station and is a member of Entrepreneurs' Organization (Ottawa).

Audrey Courneyea
Associate Insurance Agent
Audrey joined the philryan.ca team in January 2022 as an Associate Insurance Agent. She deeply cares about customer service and is proud to contribute to a team that is always willing to help clients. Audrey is always proactive and motivated to assist clients with great enthusiasm.
Hobbies
Outside of work, Audrey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, and playing softball in the summer. Audrey is also a part-time competitive dance teach at La Maison des Arts where she continues to share her experience as a former dancer with her new students.

Camille joined the philryan.ca. team in January 2020 as an Associate Insurance Agent. With eight years of experience as a commercial broker, Camille is a perfect addition to our team. With her great attention to detail and professionalism, she is always motivated to offer her advice and help to clients.
Outside of work, Camille enjoys spending time gardening, reading, making arts and crafts, and camping with her family. As a sports fan, Camille is a proud supporter of the Prescott Russell Basketball Club (PRBC). She is also a member of Business Sisters, a community for rural women entrepreneurs.

Colette joined the philryan.ca team in September 2019 as an Associate Insurance Advisor. After 22 years of hairstyling and 27 years in the customer service industry, she decided it was time for a change. Colette deeply cares for customer service. Helping clients is a great fit for a person with her experience. With her dedication and trustworthiness, she is always motivated to offer her advice and help to clients.
Outside of work, Colette enjoys spending time meditating, travelling with her family, and camping with her friends.

Outside of work, Jade enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at the cottage, shopping, and staying active by working out and playing volleyball. She was selected to play volleyball for team Ontario at the FESFO games. Jade also has her own small business on Instagram where she handpicks clothes and re-sells them with the help of her friend.

Marie-Lou joined our team in September 2023 and brings with her a background in early childhood and specialized education. She enjoys helping others achieve their potential and goals. She is a dedicated and passionate person who cares deeply for her community. For the last 13 years, she has managed two successful businesses while raising her three daughters. During her 10-year employment at Passport Canada, Marie-Lou received special achievement awards for her dedication and project management skills.
Hobbies
As for her hobbies, Marie-Lou loves the outdoors, camping and farming. She enjoys reading and cooking meals for her family and doesn’t mind a spa day here or there.

Véronic joined the philryan.ca team in 2003 as a client contact representative. Today, she has over 17 years of experience and is office manager and Associate Financial Advisor.
Véronic deeply cares about customer service and is proud to contribute to a team that is always willing to help clients. She is motivated to offer her advice and help clients reach their personal goals; this comes easily for Véronic, as she is very resourceful and efficient.
