My passion is helping parents with young families, farming families and business people with estate planning needs.
I am driven to help these people to avoid financial hardship should someone in their family fall ill, become disabled, or pass away. I don’t like seeing families lose their homes or farms when proper risk management and financial planning have not been completed.
When I was 14, my family experienced a house fire and lost everything. We had insurance, but the amount of coverage was inadequate. Shortly thereafter, I became involved in insurance and saw a huge need to make sure that as people's circumstances change, so should their insurance and risk management needs. As I spent more time in the industry, I began to see people lose their family farms when succession planning had not been properly completed. I saw people have to sell their homes when disability insurance purchases had been based on premium, rather than need. And when I had kids, my eyes were opened to the possibility of having to be the sole provider for more than just myself if my husband were to become disabled or pass away. I also know the struggles of trying to decide if you should save for retirement or keep money fluid with a young family. I see the need to view people’s situations from a 360-degree view. Now I enjoy being able to provide this type of service to people who are looking for advice and solutions that will work for them.
