Born and raised in Gander, NL, Kevin moved to Halifax in 1989 to complete a commerce degree in finance and accounting. From 1994 to 2010, he enjoyed success in corporate sales and business development, working in the insurance, office products and print media sectors in Vancouver and Toronto.
In 2010, Kevin joined Co-operators as an Advisor in Aurora and moved to the Chris Baker Agency in 2014. “While I enjoyed the corporate world, I wanted more of a personal connection with my clients. Transitioning into insurance and financial planning was an easy decision for me based on my education and experience,” he explains. “Working for Co-operators has given me the flexibility to spend more time with my family and give back to my community.”
Kevin has been a community volunteer for the past 12 years through coaching, management and executive roles with soccer, baseball and hockey. In 2019, he earned the Executive Board Member Award from the Town of Newmarket at their Volunteer Distinction Awards.
