I have been with The Co-operators since 1983. I have operated three successful sales offices and have an extensive claims background that has allowed us to identify and protect client needs. I am a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) with the Insurance Institute of Canada (1991), and am also a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) with Advocis, the Financial Advisors Association of Canada.

If you are from Airdrie or the surrounding area are looking for great service and sound advice, you should be dealing with us!

Kimberley Acheson

Kimberley Acheson, Associate Insurance/Financial Advisor

Kimberley has been representing The Co-operators since 1996. She started out as administrative support in our District Office and has subsequently been an office manager in agencies since 2001.

Currently, Kimberley manages our Commercial/Business insurance portfolio and provides backup support and coaching for our staff in all lines of business. She is licensed and trained in Life insurance and financial products, but acts as backup for the Financial Advisor and other licensed staff.

Tara Craig

Tara Craig, Associate Insurance/Financial Advisor

Tara has worked in the insurance industry since 1997, with many recognizable insurance companies in Canada. After graduating from S.A.I.T. with a Financial Services Diploma, she’s thrilled to be able to maintain a career in her home community. She has been with Rockyview Insurance Services and The Co-operators since 2003 and is fully licensed in Personal Lines and Life insurance. Tara works part time and focuses on Life insurance and financial products. Outside of the office, she is busy raising her three children with husband, Cam. She also teaches Music for Young Children from her home studio and dedicates a lot of her spare time to volunteering for community organizations.

Wade Cormier

Wade Cormier, Associate Insurance/Financial Advisor

Wade joined Rockyview Insurance Services initially in 2012. He is fully licensed in General and Life insurance. Wade has been in Airdrie since 2004, and has fallen in love with the city and its residents. When he isn't spending his spare time with family, Wade is often found contributing to the community in other ways, such as sitting on the Chamber of Commerce, assisting with fundraising groups, or coaching minor sports. Wade is currently studying to complete his Certified Financial Planner designation.

Cheryl Penner

Cheryl Penner, Associate Insurance Advisor

Cheryl has worked in the insurance industry since 2007, joining The Co-operators in 2014. Insurance can sometimes be confusing or complicated; this is why it is so important to Cheryl to sit down with her clients to answer the questions they may have. She is able to assist with Auto, Home and Farm insurance inquiries, whether you are a current client or if you are interested in insuring with The Co-operators. Cheryl and her family have lived in the Airdrie area for over 10 years and she loves the small-town feel in our growing city.

Tyler Sande

Tyler Sande , Associate Insurance/Financial Advisor

Tyler has been in the financial services industry since 2008, and joined The Co-operators family in April of 2015. Insurance is not a one-size-fits-all industry, and Tyler firmly believes in having a complete insurance conversation with every one of his clients. This enables Tyler to ensure that each and every client leaves the office with the protection and peace of mind they deserve. Currently specializing in Life and Wealth insurance, Tyler assists with Business and Auto insurance as well. Tyler relocated to Airdrie from Calgary with his wife in March of 2015, and they are both already enjoying the intimate, small-town feel!

Tori Zabel

Tori Zabel, Client Contact Representative

Tori joined our team in 2015 as our Client Contact Representative and has taken on the role of receptionist as well. You may recognize her from her work at a local chiropractor's office over the past years. She will be calling you, our clients, to book your Annual Client Reviews, or your home and farm inspections, which are requested at least every five years. If you want to schedule an appointment, call Tori to book a convenient time to meet with us.

Awards

Since moving to Airdrie in 2003, our agency is proud to have been Region Builders every year and to have achieved national Executive Builders status four times. We have been awarded the coveted 5-Star Agency Award recognizing superior production, management and quality of underwriting. We were also recipients of the Rod Garraway Award for excellence in underwriting, and have been recognized by our peers and management as the Southern Alberta Agent of the Year. In 2013, we received the Community Achievement Award for Alberta, recognizing the efforts put forward within our community.

More locally, we have been selected as the Best Insurance Office in the Airdrie City View's Readers Choice Awards in 2009, 2010 and 2011. And in 2012, and we received the Family Friendly Business Award from the Airdrie Business Resource Partnership.

Why choose co-operatives?

Co-operatives like The Co-operators Group Limited connect their values to supporting the communities where they live and work. They are viable businesses that are more concerned with serving your needs than making money, and they look for ways to serve you better by creating ways for you to influence their business decisions. In return, they ensure you have the information you need to make choices that are best for you.

There are hundreds of co-ops benefiting Canadians across the country; all are strong businesses owned and operated by the members who use their services and governed based on shared values. Look for them in your community.
