Connecting to our community

At The Co-operators, we believe the world is a better place when we take care of the things that matter most. We help build stronger, safer communities by actively supporting issues like distraction-free driving, mental health, flood safety, and sustainability.

Ask us about our community involvement and our national safety initiative Drive out Distraction. Distracted driving is a factor in one in every four crashes and is increasingly putting our communities at risk. We all play an important role in making our roads safer and you can help by taking our distraction-free driving pledge.

Check out some of our other partnerships like In Your Face and Interactive with award-winning drummer Mitch Dorge from the Crash Test Dummies (available in English only); and Kids Help Phone. Both help support and educate young people in our communities.

Volunteering within our community is extremely important to us
Some examples of how we help:
  • Kincardine and Community Hospital Foundation Board member
  • Sponsor of Kincardine Bulldogs Junior C Hockey
  • Sponsor of Bruce Power Charity Golf tournament
  • Host of Charity Ladies Night Out
  • Sponsor of local AAA hockey players
We also donate to various projects around town such as:
  • Community Living Kincardine Rebuild project
  • H.O.P.E. Volleyball tournament
  • Kincardine Bulldogs Volleyball tournament
  • Bowl for Kids - Big Brothers Big Sisters

Kincardine Office celebrates National Jersey Day
Kincardine Office celebrates National Jersey Day

November 29 was a national day to show love and support for sport by wearing a team jersey or club uniform to school, work, or play. Our office team was proud to participate in this national event. In municipal council chambers, office buildings and classrooms across the nation, a sea of Canadians wore their hearts on their sleeves for national Jersey Day. Show your support for sport!

In 2015, The Co-operators contributed $5.8 million to support Canadian community groups.
