Protect yourself wherever you roam
You wouldn't leave on your trip without packing the essentials you need. One of the most important things you can take with you is your travel insurance.
Whether you are visiting Canada or you're a Canadian travelling abroad, it's never been easier to get the protection you need.
It's important to get your coverage from someone who understands your unique needs. With The Co-operators, a number of coverage options are available. Available plans cover Canadian residents when government health insurance plans don't; and visitors to Canada get coverage for unexpected events when visiting Canada.
Buying travel insurance just got easier!
Now you can purchase travel insurance from The Co-operators online - it's fast and simple. If you're a Canadian resident or a visitor to Canada, visit our online quoting site to stay covered during your next trip.
Travel insurance does not cover everything and is subject to terms and conditions, including limitations and exclusions. For full details, please refer to the policy booklet. Travel insurance is underwritten by CUMIS General Insurance Company, a member of The Co-operators group of companies, and administered by Allianz Global Assistance, which is a registered business name of AZGA Service Canada Inc.
Update: Travel Medical Insurance – Multi-trip Plan
As a result of COVID-19, you may have been unable to fully maximize the benefits of your travel insurance policy. We’re now providing you with an automatic 90-day extension on your Multi-trip annual plan at no additional cost. This applies to policies active from June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020.
Note: This does not apply to the Multi-Voyage endorsement on home policies, as the dates of coverage are tied to the home policy.
To obtain an updated Confirmation of Coverage reflecting the 90-day extension to your current plan, please contact our office at 1-877-297-9992.
Be advised that the remaining terms and conditions of your plan remain unaffected. These include the benefits, coverage, exclusions and general provisions.
