New look for Pay Direct Drug cards
As of this summer, our Pay Direct Drug (PDD) cards will change. The double-sided card has a sleek new look, with the plan member and dependent information on the front. The reverse lists the conditions of the card and contact information for Emergency Medical Travel Assistance and claims inquiries.
Plan members can continue to use their current PDD card. They won’t receive a new card until they either add a dependent or need a replacement card. Temporary cards are available through the Benefits Now® for Plan Members portal or the mobile app.
We’re also making an administrative change. We’ll stop issuing new cards when dependents are no longer eligible; for example, when a dependent either reaches the age maximum or is no longer a full-time student. The conditions on the back of the card outline that while the dependent’s name may appear on the front, they still need to meet the eligibility requirements.
