Health and wellness
We partner with community organizations whose programs help individuals lead healthy, safe and secure lives while helping to create more resilient communities.
We are also committed to building stronger mental health support networks in our communities and acting as a catalyst for change on behalf of those whose mental health is being underserved.
Canadian Mental Health Association
The Canadian Mental Health Association is a national, voluntary organization that promotes the mental health of all and supports the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness.
Our partnership allows the CMHA to provide a wide range of innovative services and supports to people and their families who are experiencing mental illness.
Joseph Brant Hospital
Our partnership with the Joseph Brant Hospital supports the Peer Support Navigator pilot program in their emergency department and in-patient mental health services. The program provides individuals with access to one-on-one support from a trained peer support specialist, who has experience in mental health and/or addiction services.
Making the workplace a pathway to positive mental health
In November 2017, The Co-operators was formally awarded a gold-level certification by Excellence Canada in the Mental Health at Work® category. As an employer and group benefits provider we see firsthand the impact mental illness is having on Canadians. Find out why this issue is important to us and how we’re playing our part to make the world a better place.
