Service Review Panel
Because our clients are the best judge of quality service, we created the Service Review Panel. The panel is made up of volunteer clients, people just like you, who look at concerns with fresh eyes and open minds and work towards a resolution that is fair to both you and The Co-operators.
The Service Review Panel meets regularly to review all eligible appeals once all other avenues within the company’s complaint resolution process have been exhausted.
By submitting an appeal to the panel, you do not give up any rights. You still have the option to pursue other avenues of appeal if you do not agree with the panel’s decision. The final decision of the panel is only binding to The Co-operators, not our clients.
Please note that the panel’s financial authority extends to $20,000 and they do not deal with:
- Personal injury
- The issuance, non-renewal or cancellation of an insurance policy
- Insurance premium amounts
- Rating policy
- Claims prescribed by law
- Facilty/Echelon
The panel's decisions are binding on The Co-operators, but not our clients. In other words, you do not give up any rights by submitting an appeal to the panel. You always have the option to try other avenues of appeal if the decision is not in your favour.
