The Co-operators and the National Do Not Call List (NDNCL)

The Co-operators has a number of internal policies in place to ensure that we adhere to the marketing and contact requirements of the National Do Not Call List.

In addition, we have rigorous policies in place to notate when a customer does not want to be contacted by phone and will make this change to your file internally when you contact either our offices or one of our agents.

Registration on the NDCL takes time to download to our files, and the fastest way to remove yourself from our system is to contact us or the agent you have dealt with.

How can I get on the National Do Not Call List (NDNCL)?

As a consumer you may register up to three phone numbers, consisting of phone, cell and fax. You can register online at the National Do Not Call List website or you can call the NDNCL service line toll-free at 1-866-580-DNCL (1-866-580-3625) or by TTY at 1-888-DNCL-TTY at (1-888-362-5889).

To register by fax

If you want to register your fax number, you've got two options. You can register online at the National Do Not Call List website or send a fax from the number you are registering to 1-888-DNCL-Fax (888-362-5329).

If you send a fax, include the following information on the first page:

  • The fax number
  • Instructions to "please register"

If you don't receive a confirmation fax within a few days of registering, your number is not registered and you should try again either by fax or by using the National Do Not Call List website.

How long does my registration last?

Registration lasts three years. After that time, the listing will be de-activated unless unless you re-register.
