In 1999, The Co-operators formed a partnership with the Infant and Toddler Safety Association. Through this partnership we continue to provide education and hands-on support in car seat safety across Canada. The Co-operators feels compelled to take action based on the fact that three out of every four car seats are improperly installed.

Many of our Co-operators agents and offices across Canada are involved in our award-winning Buckle Up Bears program. This program offers free car seat inspection clinics periodically throughout the year to increase awareness of car seat safety in their communities.

To further support our goal of educating and providing support to communities across Canada, The Co-operators produced (in cooperation with the Infant and Toddler Safety Association) an instructional DVD entitled Car Seat Safety Check. This DVD walks you through the different stages of child car seats and boosters as well as other intricacies of car seat safety and proper installation.
