Mark comes to the Co-operators with eight years of sales experience spanning the retail, technology and manufacturing sectors. What Mark has most enjoyed so far during his career in the sales field is the one-to-one customer interactions. Mark brings this enthusiastic client care track record to the Co-operators where excellent customer service is a valued standard.
Mark travelled to Saskatchewan to obtain his post-secondary education at Briercrest Bible College after graduating from Stratford Central Secondary School.
When Mark is not in the office, he is actively involved at his church as a Board Member and member of the expansion team for a building project. A strong believer in giving back to his community, Mark has been a Board Member for YFC, a community youth project for three years and is also an active volunteer with the Avon Co-op Nursery School where his son attends. An avid golfer, he can be found on the golf course whenever the weather beckons. A proud Stratford native Mark is loving life in Stratford with his beautiful wife and two beautiful boys.
Renee has been representing The Co-operators since 2004. She spent her childhood in the northern U. S., later moved to the Muskoka region of Ontario, and came to Stratford in 2002 to be closer to family.
As Sales Associate, Renee services clients’ needs in auto, home and travel insurance coverage, having completed extensive training in each of these products. Renee greets each client with sincere warmth and a desire to make their experience in the office a pleasant one.
Community volunteerism is a passion of Renees. She regularly assists with Co-operators’ sponsored Buckle Up Bears clinics, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and her church as well as providing support to The Quilt, the national fundraising organization for programs supporting people living with cancer.
Beverley Maranger, Sales Associate
Justin Maranger, Life Associate Agent
Beverley specializes in the administration of habitational insurance products. She prepares review information for each policy holder and supports the office with any policy changes required. She also enjoys bookkeeping and marketing.
Beverley co-ordinates the Buckle Up Bears clinics which the Stratford office sponsor several times a year. She is one of the founding members of the Stratford Car Seat Education Coalition and is certified as a Child Car Sear Installer through the Co-operators and the Infant and Toddler Safety Association.
In 2007 she co-chaired the local United Way Campaign with her husband Peter and presently sits on two United Way committees for United Way of Perth County. Beverley is also very active in her church in various music and children’s programs and volunteers with the VON Adult Day Care Program. In her personal time, Beverly is a solo vocal recording artist who has recorded 2 CDs and appears locally at various community events.
Currently a student in the Undergrad Economics Program of the University of Windsor, Justin spends his summers as part of the Stratford team, providing comprehensive home, auto, life and commercial protection to clients. The daily interaction with clients in Stratford’s very busy office is what he enjoys most about his work.
As a gap year experience after high school, Justin represented Canada in Walt Disney World’s International Cultural Program, working in the Canada Pavilion at Epcot Center. Justin attends to each Co-operators client’s needs with the care and positive attitude learned through Disney’s renowned customer service culture.
When not working, Justin enjoys travel, rugby, cooking and short and long expeditions on his motorcycle. He is a frequent community volunteer, helping out with buckle Up Bears care seat clinics, Soup’s On and the United Way.

Jess Toman, Sales Associate
Val brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Stratford Co-operators office, having started her career with The Co-operators in 1992. She obtained her general insurance license in 1994, working as a Service Counsellor, Sales Associate and now ACR
Originally from Quebec, Val graduated from Lake of Two Mountains Secondary and subsequently moved to Ontario where she gained her early work experience with Bell Canada as a long distance operator, service liaison and repair service analyst. Val’s work eventually led her to Stratford where she began her family and invested her full efforts into the early years of her children’s lives. She began representingThe Co-operators when she re-entered the workforce.
Val loves the fact that The Co-operators is a totally Canadian company with a proven track record of integrity and caring. She has promoted the co-operative philosophy through her yearly involvement in Co-op Week awareness activities. She has also volunteered with the Kidney Foundation, March of Dimes and most recently with the United Way of Perth County where she volunteered (on loan from the Stratford Co-operators) as a Loaned Representative, providing administrative support one day a week for the duration of the annual campaign.
Having grown up in Stratford, Jess is pleased to have the opportunity to assist the friends and neighbours of her community with their insurance needs by providing knowledgeable and sincere client care.
Jess received her post secondary education at Sir Sanford Fleming College in Peterborough, majoring in Hotel and Resort Management and minoring in Business Studies, and graduated in 2006.
Having a career history in the hospitality industry, most recently as a wedding/reception planner for a large golf and country club, Jess understands the importance of providing trustworthy and friendly client service that is efficient and personal. As a wedding planner, Jess partnered with families to create a memorable family celebration.
Working closely with families and individuals to provide protection that will ensure their financial security with tailor made insurance products is what appeals most to Jess about The Co-operators.
In her spare time Jess loves to spoil her two dogs, Nevy and Abby and to pursue health and fitness activities with a special interest in the study of Holistic Nutrition Therapy.
