Prior to joining The Co-operators, Michael worked in Manufacturing for 10 years. He is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) with a demonstrated ability to motivate and energize teams for maximum productivity. He successfully completed two manufacturing facility start-ups for a Global Tier 1 automotive supplier. He also implemented effective policies, standards and systems while adhering to a continuous improvement philosophy. Michael is an experienced Finance Professional with an extensive manufacturing background, who started his career with the Federal Government and has a great understanding of policies and procedures that affect his clients. Many people are too busy to take the time to understand their insurance and financial requirements. Using a step by step approach, he identifies their requirements and provides the appropriate product to cover their needs. Then, working together with the client, they determine the appropriate solutions. Customers have appreciated this level of service. Michael was born & raised in the Forest City and has lived here for 43 years and is married with 2 children. He is the chair of the 2011 Corporate Challenge team for The Co-operators; co-chair of the Finance Committee at his church; participates in the Co-operator’s Safety Program – “Buckle Up Bears” and coaches his children’s sports teams.
